Dave Wilson has been a fully exemplified insured Fourth Degree Brother Knight for 30 years having joined the Order in St. Albert, Alberta. He is actively supporting his home Council, Father Dubois #7092 in Okotoks.
Retiring after 42 years in the petroleum industry he has been able to become more fully involved in various roles including Recorder, Treasurer, Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight and Chancellor. In 2020 he added the District Deputy position with a total of 9 Councils in Southern Alberta. He was selected as District Deputy of the year in 2023.
He was elected State Treasurer in 2022 on the Alberta/Northwest Territories State Executive Board and moved through to State Deputy for the 2025/2026 Fraternal Year.
He and his Wife, Odile of 51 years, are active members of St. James Parish in Okotoks and they are involved in both sacramental and temporal volunteer roles; Dave served on most Parish Boards. In addition, he led the construction of the church hall and new office facilities.
As Chair of the Diocesan Strengthening our Parish Communities Vulnerability Initiative (Presidium) for Southern Alberta, he led and trained Parishes in the rollout process.
Dave is active in various community volunteer roles as Treasurer of St. Vincent de Paul Society, the Okotoks Food Bank, Junior Achievement, a Canadian Petroleum Institute Trainer, and a long term Blood Donor.
He was proud to receive the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for Alberta in 2022.
He holds a Diploma in Business Administration and has served on many and various volunteer Board of Directors.
Dave is very pleased and honoured to serve as the Alberta State Deputy for 2025/2026.
