Dave Wilson
Dave Wilson has been a fully exemplified Brother Knight for 25 years having joined the Order in St. Albert Alberta together along with his two sons. He has actively supported his current Council #7092 in Okotoks. He recently was exemplified into the Fourth Degree
Retiring after 42 years in the petroleum industry he has been able to become more fully involved in various roles including Recorder, Treasurer, Deputy Grand Knight, Grand Knight and Chancellor. In 2020 he moved to the District Deputy position in District 33 and added District 37 in 2021.
He and his Wife, Odile of 50 years, are active members of St. James Parish in Okotoks and involved in both sacramental and temporal volunteer roles. Dave has served on most Parish Boards including Chair of the Finance Committee, Chair of the Parish Pastoral Council, and Chair of the Maintenance Committee. In addition he led the construction of the church hall and new office facilities.
As Chair of the Diocesan Strengthening our Parish Communities Vulnerability Initiative for Southern Alberta, he led and trained Parishes in the rollout process.
Dave is active in various community volunteer roles including Treasurer of St. Vincent de Paul Society, Treasurer of the Okotoks Food Bank, a trainer/facilitator of students under the Junior Achievement banner, a Canadian Petroleum Institute Trainer, and a long term Blood Donor to mention a few.
He holds a Diploma in Business Administration and has served on many and various volunteer Boards
Dave is very pleased and honoured to serve as the Alberta State Secretary for 2023/2024.
