Miles is a Past Grand Knight and current Trustee of Holy Family Council #4957. He has served on his Parish Council and remains an active proclaimer in his parish community. For many years, he also volunteered with the Red Cross Disaster Response Team, assisting individuals and families affected by floods, wildfires, and hurricanes.

Professionally, Miles is a Registered Nurse with more than 35 years of experience across hospital, clinic, and community care settings. He currently specializes in complex transition case management, helping individuals navigate challenging healthcare and support systems.

Miles believes that thoughtful, inclusive, and holistic urban design is a vital determinant of health and community well-being. He applies his healthcare experience to initiatives that strengthen resilience, preserve community and faith connections, diversify housing options and enhance quality of life. He serves as a VP Director of Civics with his Community League, Seniors' Liaison, and contributes to several boards and committees. He is honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Knights of Columbus Charitable Foundation.
